Put on some glow paint, dress up in your brightest colours and enjoy a fun run with a difference in the Light up the Dark Fun Run at Kingston Park.
This family-friendly event will be a glowing spectacle of fun as you run, jog or walk around a course that will be lit up by lanterns and filled with community spirit.
With a choice of a 1km (for kids), 2.5km or 5km, the course along the Whitewater Creek Track features a loop through the Kingston Park playground with its array of coloured lights. There will be food and drinks available post-race and a Glow Zone where you can hang out and enjoy some music and entertainment.
Presented by the Sandy Bay Harriers Athletic Club in partnership with the Tasmanian Sexual Assault Support Service, the event promotes safe spaces at night and follows on the back of Sexual Assualt Awareness month, details of which can be found in the link below:
https://www.sass.org.au/about-sass/sexual-assault-awareness-month
Funds raised from the event will go towards support services for people affected by sexual assault.
Late entries available on the night from 4:00pm.
